Winder MK1
Our customer Mitsubishi Chemical/MCPP was looking for an automation solution for their process of making filament samples of different materials, lengths per sample and quantities. After presenting a concept proposal to the customer, Axitec designed, developed and built what eventually became the Winder mk1 entirely in-house.
The Winder mk1 is a customized automation solution for the production of filament samples used in the 3D printing industry. The user-friendly UI on the touch screen allows the operator to choose the length per sample and the quantities to be produced. During the process, more than 15 different sensors check all movements for reliability.
