One last year we realized a special project that is still a great milestone within our expertise: the Winder MK I.
This machine is an advanced, customized automation solution for the production of filament samples in the 3D printing industry. Our customer faced the challenge of making their process for producing filament samples more efficient and reliable. Together we went through a process from concept development to a fully functional and user-friendly solution.
The power of the Winder MK I
- Flexible production: The machine makes filament samples in different materials, diameters and lengths.
- User-friendly interface: Through a touch screen, the operator can easily set lengths and quantities. It is even possible to create a queue for multiple orders.
- Reliability and precision: More than 15 sensors continuously monitor the reliability of all movements.
- Efficient finishing: Each sample is secured in three places with an elastic string and labeled for proper order recording.
- Minimal waste: Precision and control minimize material waste.
From idea to realization
We carried out the entire process – from concept engineering and prototyping to machine construction – in-house. Together with operators, we also paid extra attention to user-friendliness and ergonomics. The result is a machine that not only excels functionally, but is also pleasant and easy to operate.
A lasting impact
For our customer, the Winder MK I has resulted in: a tremendous gain of time in the production process, more efficient use of material resulting in a significant reduction of waste.
